My Art! Gallery! Artwalk! AHHHH!!!
One of my passions is creating art. Poetry, writing, photography and painting. I’ve been nervous to put my work out there since I put my art in a gallery at the end of February 2020 and then….no one saw it. It was no one’s fault but something about it made me take my babies back and store them.
Now that things have opened back up a bit, I decided to put some of my artwork back out there. And now, there are two places where I have my art!
The first is at the 2021 Mary Schein Fall Salon at the Cambridge Art Association. Mary Schein did many wonderful things for the art world. In her later years, she did much volunteering and curating for the Cambridge Arts. It is a joy to be a part of it and one of my favorite paintings is in this Salon. See it here - Mary D'Alba - The Kiss. This painting is a happy accident. It’s an acrylic pour that I manipulated into looking like a smooch. Acrylic is one of my most favorite mediums to use and this is one of my works I’m most proud of.mm ( Through September 28th, in person and online).
The second is having three works in the 3rd Annual Integral Arts Everett Artwalk 2021. The Art walk consists of 17 local artists having 47 pieces of artwork in 38 businesses around the City of Everett. And...even cooler - there is a scavenger hunt to find all the pieces! It’s a cool way to find out about local businesses and see some kick ass art!m (October 2nd - November 6)
Check out my pieces - Spooky Heart, Pinky Rings and Yawning Pink.
